47Building your home business can be an expensive one. If you are going to make money out of a home business or any traditional business, you are have to going to advertise, and advertising costs money. If you are not careful paid advertising could
cost you the earth. In my hub today I am going to discuss some low cost methods of marketing that you could start out with.
If you have never written or placed an ad before, this can be a scary prospect. Some basic skills on placing ads are knowing:
1. Who is your audience
2. Where do they 'hang out'
Once you have got this down, its about looking at the marketing methods available that are not too costly.
PPC - Pay Per Click can work out to be pretty expensive and time consuming if you dont know what you are doing. It's something which takes time to learn,and in the process costly mistakes could be made.
Banner Advertising - little less costly than PPC, a great way to get your business or site noticed is to find other related websites and contacting the web administrators direct requested a banner exchange with your site. That way it is mutually beneficial. Some website owners may charge but it is open to negotiation, so negotiate away!
Blogging - is a great way to get your business out there. Give value to your targeted audience and they will become hooked on the useful information you provide. You could also monetize your blog to earn additional income.
Affiliate Marketing is also another way in which you could earn additional income, you could then take this money and turn it back around into your business to fund the more expensive PPC advertising.
Video Marketing - is a great low cost (FREE) way to showcase your business,but for it to be effective using the right keywords makes all the difference.
